Typically my blog posts feature full family adventure sessions....from bike riding to ice cream shops. I have added this post to showcase mini-sessions from previous years as a way to share what types of images you will receive.
Capturing It All - Tampa Extended Family Photoshoot {Family Photography at Curtis Hixon}
Having my friend since 6th grade ask me to do their extended family shoot made me so happy, excited and thankful! We picked Curtis Hixon as I wanted a variety of backgrounds and room for the 7 kids to run around and play.
The family wanted some more traditional group shots, so we accomplished those first while incorporating a few fun games for the kids. Keep on scrolling down for much more and see how they relaxed and we created all of these images in 90 minutes....
I made sure to take some images of each nuclear family and just love the variety I got in such a short time!
I love this set of images showing the family a little more relaxed with Grandma and Grandpa and enjoying their time together.
And of course we ended on the playground and capture the cousins having all the fun!! Extended family sessions with cousins always should include playing.
Park + Cookies = Magic. The story starts in a Tampa park but always ends at home. {Tampa outdoor and in-home photographer}
"It's that time of year" is always an email subject I love to read from a returning family photo session client! We did a two part session - first at a local park and then headed to their house to bake some cookies. (And Noah even drank straight from the milk carton like he likes to do!!) Last year we met at a local beach to celebrate Ellie turning one! The ride in between was super fun because the two older kids asked to ride with me! I love multi-location family photo sessions around Tampa or St. Pete - keeps us moving and the kids excited and happy - so don't be afraid to ask me for this type of session!
St. Pete Beach Family: Extended Family Vacation {St. Pete and Tampa Photographer}
Saying goodbye to the beach....it hurts! It does, but this family has an adventure ahead of them as the move out of state. So, Sarah asked for us to do her family photo session with grandparents at a local beach in St. Pete and of course I said Yes!
Our two our extended family beach photo session was full of locations and fun - but of course I'll let the images and a few words do the talking....
While the sun was still high in the sky we started off in a little park which added some mangrove greenery to the first part of our Florida beach photo session. I started with some more traditional portraits so that when we hit the beach it would be all FUN (meaning I could direct less and shoot as things flowed)! These grandparents where super relaxed and love their families so very much! (See another grandparents beach session here)
On our way back to the beach we needed to cross a beautiful boardwalk, which offered another unique and "florida vacation" type background. The kids were more than willing to run some laps along the bridge!
The bubbles came out and you can really tell how windy it was! I love capturing the color and texture and patterns of the florida beach sand and this was the perfect opportunity during this part of our St. Pete Beach family photography session! (see my personal images on St. Pete beach here)
Look at these amazing grandparents during the family session! These grandkids will cherish these images now and in many years! I think more grandparents should be in family photography sessions!
Last but not least, we headed to and in the water (it was windy and a tad chilly) so after some fun beach family playing they went inside for a quick change to warm up and then we closed out our St. Pete beach family photography session with guitar playing at sunset.
